Guilty Pleasures

Today is one of those days where I felt inspired to write and work on some stuff. But I kept getting distracted, and out of the 7 things on my to do list I managed to complete 4. One thing I did manage to do was satisfy my need for things that are VERY unimportant! lol They fall somewhere on my list of guilty pleasures. One of those things that you know isn't necessarily good or bad for you, but there is some reason why it does not need to be an important part of your life. But not only can you not shake it, you don't want to! So I decided to make a short list and share it with you. Hopefully I won't embarrass myself too much! lol Now all of them aren't the most horrible things in the world, but the weird relationship I have with them is the crazy party. Don't worry I'll explain. :-) Feel free to comment and share yours.

Top Five Guilty Pleasures (In no particular order)

1. Freaking my mom out-I think as a daughter its my job to freak my mom out and make her think I'm weird. I'll say something randomly about stripping, getting implants, failing a class, getting married, etc., just to see what she would say. Luckily I've done enough good things in my life where she doesn't just go off on me. Plus she has a good sense of humor. I'm her only child, I have to keep her on her toes!

2. Procrastinating- There is something about the thrill of knowing you don't have a lot of time left to finish a project that really gets my adrenaline pumping. A lot of people wouldn't know it, but I will plan something thoroughly and not execute the plan if I feel like have too much time to do it. In the end, I always get it done I have found that a lot of my best work comes through in panic and working in a fury LOL.

3. Diddy Reality Shows- I don't know what it is about his reality shows but I always get hooked. Something about the drama and his no nonsense attitude keeps me in front of the tv for every show...every season!

4. Maury- I don't know why I get shocked at the women that test 6 men for 1 baby, the 14 year old girls that are shaking a** for cash because they have lost their way, or the men that deny their girlfriend's baby for no reason at all. It's pure comedy filled with white trash, hood stars, hoes, tricks, and bastard babies. Can't get enough of the foolishness.

5. Shopping- If its cute, I have to have it NOW. If I have the exact same shoe in red, I don't care I need it in black. If its hot I have to buy it. I act on impulse and throughly enjoy shopping alone waaaay more than with friends. If you saw my closet, you would think I was crazy. I'm also one of those crazy people that only wears about half of what's in my closet.

I also enjoy midnight snacks, anything about Beyonce, watching funny videos of people falling on youtube, making cute guys blush, The Tiny and Toya Show, and laughing at gay guys that think their dress and lashes somehow matches their 5 o'clock shadow (seriously?????).

Shades of Green

I titled this blog in between yellow and blue because I find myself constantly changing my thoughts and actions. Learning new things constantly and always figuring out who I am. I used to think I was crazy, lol, but now I'm in a place where I am a little more willing to let life happen. The yellow is the scared part of me that most days feels like I'm wasting my time pursing my dream, working a 9-5 etc. This side is genuinely afraid of big changes, big risks, and most of all failure. The blue represents the calmer side of things...my acceptance of change and finally feeling like I'm moving to some sort of stability in my life. I am constantly waxing and waning between these colors...so I feel like I'm always different shades of green. Green represents a lot of things, but most importantly (to me at least) it represents growth. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason and at the end of the day we need to accept what God has for us. Even the bad things teach some kind of lesson whether we like it or not.

Today I'm feeling like I'm leaning more towards the blue side of things....
Create your own spectrum...Then ask yourself where you are and where do you want to be...

My Prerogative

So...we have an open position in my office and the guy is pretty young. So he is a big part of the twitter/youtube/facebook/ and anything else that is a part of our technology crazed generation. One of the staff members in the office decided to google his name to see what he could find. (His resume was interesting seeing as how the last job he had was as a snowboard instructor! LOL) This guy is not particularly tech savvy but he found a couple videos. Turns out this guy has a youtube channel! One of the videos in particular is pretty funny, but it talks about rednecks, and is complete with confederate flags and all...but its clearly a joke. Now everyone thought it was funny so it wont effect his possibiliy of being hired. But the real question is....what does this really have to do with him getting a job??? I party and play hard after 5, but I'm still a reliable and dependable employee. The older people in the office just went crazy talking about see "thats why you have to be careful what you post on the internet"! Although I do agree, I honestly feel like my facebook pics of me having fun shouldn't have anything to do with my job!!! Now I can honestly say, there arent any pics of me shaking a** for cash, doing anything illegal or nekkie pics of my no-no spot up for anybody to see. I think THATS where the line should be and people need to be concerned. But don't judge me for having fun dammitt! It's my prerogative! LOL!

Maybe I'm just defending my generation...what do youthink is fair?

Let's get right into It....

So I had big plans for this extravagant website right...All kinds of cool features and interactive media all so that you could understand me and my artistry a little bit better. Then I found out how much those types of things could cost? Ha! So here I am...on the blogging bandwagon with everyone else. Hopefully I'll shed some light on you as I talk about my experiences. But don't be so serious...we have fun over here too! LOL ...There will also be random posts about music that makes my heart skip a beat...whether it be things I write or the work of someone else.
